Many central streets of Ho Chi Minh City banned cars on the evening of April 30th

Vehicles will not be allowed to enter many central streets from 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. on April 30 to allow the city to set off fireworks to celebrate 47 years of national reunification.

Ho Chi Minh City Fireworks from 9:00 p.m. to 9:15 p.m. on April 30 at two points: at the start of Saigon River Tunnel (Thu Duc City) and Dam Sen Cultural Park (District 11).

To ensure safety and serve people have fun and watch fireworks out 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m The Ministry of Transport recommends that vehicles should not be driven on Nguyen Hue Street (section from Le Thanh Ton to Ton Duc Thang).

Alternative route to District 4: Le Thanh Ton – Nam Ky Khoi Nghia – Ham Nghi – Ton Duc Thang or Le Thanh Ton Street – Nam Ky Khoi Nghia – Nguyen Thai Binh – Calmette – Calmette Bridge – Doan Van Bo – Hoang Dieu.

District 3: Ton Duc Thang – Me Linh Square – Hai Ba Trung – Le Thanh Ton – Pasteur.

From 8:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m, Vehicles are prohibited from driving on the following roads: Nguyen Tat Thanh (Hoang Dieu-Khanh Hoi Bridge, District 4); Ton Duc Thang (Me Linh Square to Khanh Hoi Bridge), Dong Khoi (Ngo Duc Ke to Ton Duc Thang), Hai Trieu (Ho Tung Mau to Nguyen Hue) and Ham Nghi (Ho Tung Mau to Ton Duc Thang).

Alternative route from District 4 to District 1: Nguyen Tat Thanh – Hoang Dieu – Doan Van Bo – Calmette Bridge – Vo Van Kiet – Pasteur – Le Duan – Ton Duc Thang. Opposite direction: Le Duan – Nam Ky Khoi Nghia – Nguyen Thai Binh – Nguyen Cong Tru – Calmette – Doan Van Bo – Hoang Dieu – Nguyen Tat Thanh.

Direction from District 1 to Thu Duc City: Vo Van Kiet – Pasteur – Le Duan – Ton Duc Thang – Nguyen Binh Khiem – Nguyen Huu Canh – Thu Thiem 1 Bridge – Nguyen Co Thach – Mai Chi Tho. The opposite direction: Mai Chi Tho – Nguyen Co Thach – Thu Thiem Bridge 1 – Nguyen Huu Canh – Nguyen Binh Khiem – Le Duan – Nam Ky Khoi Nghia – Vo Van Kiet.

From 8:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., Motorbikes are not allowed through the Saigon River Tunnel, the section from Ky Con to To Huu; Alternative route towards District 1 through Thu Duc: Vo Van Kiet – Parallel Road – Pasteur – Le Duan – Ton Duc Thang – Nguyen Binh Khiem – Nguyen Huu Canh – Thu Thiem 1 Bridge – Nguyen Co Thach – Mai Chi Tho.

The opposite direction: Mai Chi Tho – Nguyen Co Thach – Thu Thiem Bridge 1 – Nguyen Huu Canh – Nguyen Binh Khiem – Le Duan – Nam Ky Khoi Nghia – Vo Van Kiet.

The city’s transport ministry warned people not to stop parking or congregate on bridges: Khanh Hoi, Mong, Calmette, Ong Lanh, Thu Thiem, Nguyen Huu Canh, overpass at the junction of Hang Xanh, Binh Loi, Binh Trieu , Rach Chiec, Saigon, Phu My, Bridges on Mai Chi Tho Street and on the roof of Saigon River Tunnel to see fireworks.
