According to the Danish National Health Commission, the COVID-19 epidemic has been brought under control in the country. The Danish Health Authority announced that the epidemic is under control and the vaccination rate of the Danish population is high, with 89% of people aged 12 and over being fully vaccinated. As a result, the National Health Commission will temporarily suspend vaccination programs against COVID-19.
From May 15, Danes will no longer be invited to receive the COVID-19 vaccine, but they can still go to vaccination centers to complete their vaccination.
Denmark’s COVID-19 vaccination program will start just after Christmas 2020. Also, a large proportion of Danes have contracted COVID-19 since Omicron became the dominant strain, synonymous with high herd immunity in the population.
